| I was born in a small Polish town near the German border in 1981. I spent most of my life in Poland in this beautiful hamlet, Barlinek. The countryside surrounding my village was a visual dream - the colourful fields of flowers in the Spring and idyllic woodlands during the winter - developed in me a passion for photography. Over the years my considerations turned to Portrait Photography. I am fascinated by the insight I can gain into a person’s being through their facial expressions and the gleam in their eyes. In 2006 I moved to the UK. Eventually I settled in Leicester, where I now live and work. Although my working life is in a government job, my life’s passion still remains photography, particularly Portrait Photography. Unfortunately the weather in the UK is not friendly to bright sunny days. As a result I am very enthusiastic whenever the forecast calls for ‘bright, sunny conditions’ over a weekend. I enjoy finding that rare moment when the sunny outdoors meet a group of neighbourhood teens, as recently happened to me near my home, as well as a studio session with friends and family. I never tire of finding new ways to improve an image taken in frame. I explore the many ways to enhance the appearance of my models, bringing out the best in each of them. I continually explore new ways of representing what I see through the lens, whether by manual manipulation or technical improvements, as well as changes in location. Each of these opportunities brings a possible new avenue of exploration, development and potential new ways of expressing what I see through my own eyes. I am fascinated not only by the camera, but also by the way the images are presented. This website is my continual attempt to show you what I see and how I see the world. I constantly investigate different possible types of web designs to find ever better ways to lay out and deliver a better view of my world. I hope you enjoy your visit to my webpages. If you have any comments, please send me a message. I would love to hear from you. |
